Terms of Service
Effective date: October 5, 2026
Please also read our Privacy Policy.
1. Agreement to the Terms
By accessing or using GuardianScam, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Please read both before using the service. If you do not agree, do not use GuardianScam.
GuardianScam is operated by the business owner responsible for this service. In these Terms, "GuardianScam", "we" and "us" refer to that operator.
2. What GuardianScam provides
GuardianScam is a consumer-assistance service that helps you work through potentially suspicious texts, emails, phone calls, websites and links, payment requests, investments, and people or organizations claiming to represent someone else.
It provides guidance, warning signs, verification steps and risk information based on what you submit and the information available. AI can help explain information; it does not independently establish facts or decide your check result.
3. Important limitation
GuardianScam does not guarantee that any person, communication, website, transaction, investment, company, or situation is safe, legitimate, fraudulent, or risk-free.
Results are informational and advisory. You remain responsible for your decisions. Missing information is not proof of fraud, and a check does not provide a permanent assurance about a person or situation.
When appropriate, independently verify information with the organization involved, your financial institution, law enforcement or another trusted source. Use contact information you obtained independently, not just information supplied in an unexpected message or call.
4. Not professional advice
GuardianScam does not provide legal, financial, investment or law-enforcement advice. It is not an emergency service. It should not replace qualified professional assistance.
5. Emergencies and active fraud
If money may be actively stolen or an account is compromised, contact your bank, card company or payment provider directly using a trusted contact method. Contact law enforcement or another relevant authority where appropriate. If there is immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service. Do not wait for GuardianScam to respond.
6. User accounts
You can create an account using an email address and password, or use the Google sign-in option. Email signup may ask you to confirm your account through an email. Use accurate account information and keep your credentials private. You are responsible for securing your account and for activity under it; tell us about suspected unauthorized use through GuardianScam Support.
Creating an account does not by itself purchase ongoing access. An active subscription or another existing access arrangement is needed for paid features. Each Family member uses a separate account.
You must be 18 years or older to create and use a GuardianScam account. GuardianScam is not intended for children under 18. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use GuardianScam to break the law; harass or threaten people; impersonate someone else; attempt unauthorized access; interfere with the service; introduce malware; abuse automated systems; overwhelm or intentionally disrupt the service; or facilitate fraud or other wrongdoing.
8. Information submitted by users
You are responsible for information you voluntarily submit and should have permission to provide it. Submit only what is needed to describe the situation. Do not submit passwords, security codes or complete payment-card details. Avoid unnecessary sensitive information about yourself or others. The Privacy Policy explains how submitted information is handled.
9. Subscriptions
GuardianScam Personal — $4.99/month. GuardianScam Family — $8.99/month. These are monthly subscription prices; review the checkout total and any applicable tax shown before paying.
Monthly subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Stripe processes billing. GuardianScam keeps subscription status and billing-period information to manage access, but does not receive or store your full payment-card number. Checkout shows the plan you are purchasing.
If a renewal payment fails, GuardianScam shows a warning and provides grace access while the subscription remains eligible within its recorded billing period. Update your payment method through the subscription controls. This is not a promise of indefinite access without payment.
10. Cancellation
Sign in, open Settings, find Your plan, and select Manage plan and payment. This opens Stripe's secure customer portal, where the subscription payer can manage their plan and payment details, view receipts or cancel.
Cancellation stops future renewal; access continues until the current paid period ends. Settings displays the end date when cancellation is scheduled. Family members included by another payer do not manage that payer's subscription.
11. Refunds
Subscription charges are generally non-refundable once a billing period begins, except where required by law or where GuardianScam approves a refund because of a billing error or exceptional circumstance. Customers may cancel future renewals at any time through the available subscription-management tools. To ask about a billing error, contact GuardianScam Support. Nothing in this section limits refund rights you have under applicable law.
12. Family plan
The Family plan covers the payer plus up to five additional people. The payer adds their email addresses under Family members in Settings. Each person receives access through their own account using the matching email address, while the payer's plan remains eligible. The payer can remove members.
Each person's checks and private information remain separate. Paying for a Family plan does not let you read another person's checks, control their decisions or monitor their phone. It does not promise automatic protection across every call, message, app or device.
13. Free checks
A signed-out visitor can complete one real free guided check and see the full result without creating an account or providing a credit card. The free-check limit is recorded in that browser. Additional ongoing checks require an account with paid access or another existing access arrangement.
The guest check does not include account history, Ask GuardianScam, full saved recovery progress, Quiet Protection or remembered information. A finished guest check can remain on that device for up to seven days, with expiry checked when it is read. It is saved to an account only after the signed-in person explicitly agrees. See the Privacy Policy for details.
14. Third-party services
GuardianScam relies on third-party services, including Stripe for billing, Lovable hosting and Lovable Cloud for account and storage infrastructure, Google for optional sign-in and fonts, and the Lovable AI Gateway and OpenAI for AI-assisted features. Their independent terms and privacy policies may apply to their services.
GuardianScam cannot control third-party outages or independent policies and is not responsible for them beyond what applicable law requires. This does not remove any responsibility GuardianScam has under the law.
15. Intellectual property
The GuardianScam name, branding, site design, software, text, graphics and original content are protected to the extent provided by applicable law. You have permission to use the service for normal personal use, not ownership of its intellectual property. Third-party materials remain subject to their own rights and licenses.
16. Availability and changes
GuardianScam may improve, update, add, remove or modify features. Outages, maintenance and errors can occur; uninterrupted availability is not promised. Material changes affecting a paid subscription remain subject to applicable consumer rights.
17. No warranties
To the extent allowed by law, GuardianScam is provided as available, without a promise that every result is complete, accurate or suitable for every situation. It does not guarantee that all scams will be detected or that harm will be prevented. Nothing in these Terms removes warranties or consumer rights that the law does not allow us to exclude.
18. Limitation of liability
GuardianScam does not promise to reimburse money lost to scams or decisions made based on the service. You should independently verify important actions and seek appropriate help. Any limits on responsibility must be permitted by applicable law; nothing here excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
GuardianScam provides informational and advisory guidance. It does not guarantee that a situation is safe, legitimate, fraudulent or risk-free. To the extent allowed by applicable law, GuardianScam is not responsible for losses caused by third-party scammers, criminals, financial institutions, websites, communications, or decisions you make. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.
19. Indemnification
If you misuse GuardianScam, use it for unlawful conduct, attack or interfere with the service, or violate these Terms, you are responsible for claims and reasonable costs that result from that conduct, to the extent allowed by law. This does not apply to ordinary, good-faith use of GuardianScam and does not limit consumer protections that apply to you.
20. Termination
GuardianScam may restrict or terminate access for serious misuse, fraud, attacks on the service or legal requirements. Any action affecting paid access or your information remains subject to applicable law and consumer rights. Ending access is not a promise that all account information or provider records are automatically erased.
21. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes may be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Georgia, or in another court where applicable law allows you to bring a claim. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer rights or protections that apply where you live.
22. Changes to Terms
These Terms may be updated as GuardianScam or applicable requirements change. The effective date will be revised. Review this page for the current version; any required notice of material changes will be subject to applicable law.
23. Contact
Questions about these Terms, your account or billing can be sent to GuardianScam Support through the in-app support system at /support. Sign in first, then choose Contact GuardianScam Support. Responses are not guaranteed to be immediate. GuardianScam Support is not an emergency service; if money is actively at risk or there is danger, contact your bank, law enforcement or emergency services directly.
